<p>The past surgeon general estimated close to 85% of our most dreaded diseases could be prevented with appropriate lifestyle changes, including a good diet and regular exercises.</p>
<p>A good diet and regular exercising combined with a comprehensive recovery plan greatly accelerates the freedom from addiction.</p>
<p>Athletically and nutritionally fit individuals can measure out at 10 to 20 years biologically younger than their chronological age.</p>
<p>There is nothing as regenerative and transformative as getting in shape.  You not only look better, you get stronger, gain confidence, and feel more alive.  Some of it is because of lower blood pressure, lower blood sugar, increased metabolism and endorphins.  When you’re healthy, you feel better.  But it’s also the sense that if you can change your body, you can change anything.  You become aware of your muscles working, sense your heart beating more effortlessly, project good posture and walk with a purpose.  Life is full of possibilities.</p>

<p>SWF Voices for Recovery is holding a “The Walk for Recovery” Saturday, 8:30am to 10:30am, September 26<sup>th</sup>, 2009 at Lakes Park in Ft. Myers to share the importance of substance abuse treatment and the renewed outlook on life that a commitment to recovery can offer.  Nutritionists, trainers, and addiction specialists will be available to assist you in developing a healthy diet and lifestyle.   Voices for Recovery sponsors are committed to giving you the mental as well as physical tools you’ll need to change your body or anything else worthwhile in your life.  You can pre-register online at:</p>
